Back in 2019, Richmond Window - Renewal by Andersen of Central VA volunteered to help a local family in need with home improvement projects including porch handrail repairs and crawl space insulation. After that, we set a plan to return and finish the home's window replacement the following Spring. As we all know, this is unfortunately when the COVID-19 pandemic began. Rebuilding Together and Ms. Helen agreed to postponing the window installation for the time being, for the safety of everyone involved. When the opportunity arose again this year to help Ms. Helen with her window installation, we were so happy to complete the job.
Leading the window replacement project is Richmond Window Service and Training Manager, Robert Zamaro. "I am so excited to get to work with this homeowner in making her home safer and more energy-efficient for her family,” said Zamaro. “Giving back to community members in need is part of who we are. I enjoyed completing this project for her!”

On Friday October 8, The Richmond Window - Renewal by Andersen team once again met up with Rebuilding Together Richmond as part of their #FallFixUp campaign. Ultimately, our Certified Master Installers replaced 13 damaged and drafty windows for Ms. Helen and her family in Southside Richmond. It is rewarding to know that Ms. Helen and her family will be warm and safe as the colder months approach.
Says Page Ewell, III, Richmond Window President and CEO, “We’re so thrilled that we can finally get back out in the community and help homeowners through Rebuilding Together Richmond." "We have looked forward to working with this homeowner and making her home more comfortable with energy-efficient replacement windows. We hope she enjoys her new windows for many years to come.”
