This March and April, Renewal by Andersen of Central Virginia collected donations of party supplies to Celebrate! RVA, a local non-profit that provides birthday celebrations to children who would not be able to celebrate their birthdays otherwise. From candles to craft supplies and party hats to pinatas, our team members’ generous donations reached a total value of over $400!
Celebrate! RVA was founded in 2013 on the belief that all children deserve to experience the joy of celebrating their birthdays, no matter the circumstances. By working with Richmond Public Schools and Henrico County Public Schools, ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation, Safe Harbor, The Doorways, World Pediatric Project, and the Salvation Army, Celebrate! RVA identifies children in need throughout the greater Richmond area. Their team and volunteers pack and distribute bags filled with party supplies and birthday cards to local schools, children’s hospitals, and any other locations where children with upcoming birthdays risk being overlooked to ensure that they get to have a party on their special day. Celebrate! RVA funds these efforts through a combination of donations and renting their “Celebrate Space” for children’s birthday parties and other celebrations.
